1)
Quick Shade Set-Up
Talk about a quick erection ! (Sorry, couldn't resist).
These pop ups come pre-assembled and ready for immediate use. They unfold easily,
usually in a couple minutes with the help of just 1 or 2 people. No ropes, wires,
loose parts, tools or assembly needed.
Because
of their relative small size, instant canopies built with an accordion design
can be unfolded and set up by just 1 person. Begin by pulling one leg segment
away from the others. This causes the entire frame to expand, unfold, and rise
to a free-standing position. It's ingenious, and you don't have to pay big money
to get that kind of convenience.
2)
Portability
The lightweight folding frame is built for mobility, and can
travel just about anywhere. It comes with its' own storage bag, and is small enough
to fit in the trunk of most cars.
Most
are made with galvanized steel, but a few instant canopies use an aluminum frame
that is 20-30% lighter. A standard 10 x 10 instant canopy will weight only 50
- 75 lbs. There are lighter versions. But keep in mind that the lighter the frame,
the greater risk of having one of those 'cheap umbrella in a heavy wind' experiences.
3) Flexibility For Any Setting
Instant canopies are so convenient and flexible, you'll see them everywhere. They
are perfect temporary shelters for craft fair booths, can be made with custom
graphics and logos for trade shows, or provide inviting shade for a backyard party.
Several fabric colors are available, but even the standard red, blue, white, green,
gray will fit most settings.
You should
have no problem finding the perfect size and color combination. A 10ft x 10ft
canopy is the most common size. But you'll also find dimensions of 8x8, 10x10,
12x12, and even 10x15. And since they are freestanding with no center pole obstruction
or extended guy ropes, you'll get maximum use of space. A standard 10 x 10 canopy
can comfortably provide shade and space for 6-8 people.
4)
Inexpensive
Given their functionality and good looks, instant canopies
are a good deal. You can get a sturdy frame and good quality fabric for $100 -
$200.
Options can jack up the price
of the simplest canopy. The heaviest fabric, or customization with your own logo
and/or graphics, can take the price to $500, or even $1000.
Cheaper
instant canopies are also available, but are only suitable for very limited use.
Remember the 'cheap umbrella' scenario described above ? Do yourself a favor,
and pay a little more for an instant canopy that will give you years of enjoyment.
